Built in 1930 by Carson Rose and operated until 1956, the historic Rose Service Station located just off Hwy 25E in Tazewell was restored by the town of Tazewell in 2001 back to authentic condition, representing a Gulf "filling station" from days long past. The station has authentic old-style gasoline pumps and brings back memories of a simpler age when Highway 25E winded in front of the station instead of behind it today. Back in those days, US Highway 25E was referred to as the "Dixie Highway" and was a major north-south federal highway through the area. Hours: Daily from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
